A head-on collision in Muhlenberg County Saturday afternoon injured two Central City residents.
The incident happened around 1 p.m., according to a news release from Kentucky State Police, which says 20-year old Dillion Geary of Central City crossed the center line on Phillip Stone Way when he reached down to pick up his cigarettes in the floorboard.
Geary hit a northbound vehicle driven by 45-year old Mary Anderson of Central City head-on. Ms. Anderson had to be flown to Saint Mary's Hospital in Evansville for treatment of serious injuries, while Geary was taken by ambulance to Muhlenberg Community Hospital.
Police say a juvenile passenger of Ms. Anderson had minor injuries, but did not go to the hospital. The crash happened in Central City, according to KSP.
