Two local men have been charged for allegedly stealing two Kentucky New Era newspaper machines.
Charged with theft by unlawful taking are 40-year old Howard Gray of Hopkinsville and 21-year old Bradford Lynch of Oak Grove. The arrest citation for Gray says Hopkinsville Police received information that the pair had stolen the machines from Piggly Wiggly and a liquor store.
A search warrant was obtained for Gray's business—Howard's Barber Shop on East 9th Street—and police allegedly located the machines there. Police say they also found a flat head screwdriver and a hammer that were used in an attempt to break into the machine.
The newspaper machines were valued at $300 each. Gray was lodged in the Christian County Jail and Lynch was cited into court
