Several American embassies in the Middle East will be temporarily closed beginning Sunday due to a terror threat and U.S. Senator Rand Paul says it's further evidence the United States needs to reduce its foreign aid spending.
In an interview with WHOP News, Senator Paul reiterated his assertion that the United States shouldn't be sending money to countries like Egypt, where a disdain of America has been shown by political leaders and citizens.
Senator Paul said giving countries with hostility toward the United States additional weapons is not only fiscally irresponsible, it could also be dangerous.
You can hear the interview with Senator Paul Sunday morning at 9 o'clock on Lite 98.7. He will be speaking to the Hopkinsville Rotary Club Tuesday at noon.
