Two Christian County residents were killed in a wreck on I-24 in Robertson County, Tenn. Friday.
The report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol says the incident happened around 4:25 on the westbound side near the 22 mile-marker.
Police say 21-year old Darius Diehl of Oak Grove was traveling in the left lane when he ran off the pavement and struck a series of trees in the median, before finally coming to rest on the vehicle’s right side.
Diehl and his passenger, 22-year old Amber Trumble of Hopkinsville, were both killed.
The report says Ms. Trumble was wearing a seat belt and Diehl was not. Alcohol is not suspected as a factor.
