Governor Steve Beshear says Kentucky is in good shape economically going forward.
Appearing on WHAS in Louisville, Governor Beshear said action by the General Assembly this year helped get the Commonwealth on a better financial footing.
Governor Beshear says he hopes to build on what he sees as a positive outlook and bring more jobs to the Commonwealth.
It was announced last week that Kentucky ended the fiscal year with a 70 million dollar surplus. The state budget director credited the surplus to slowed spending by government agencies and a small bump in revenues.
