In hopes of receiving more tips from the public, the Clarksville Police Department has released additional details in the shooting death of a western Kentucky man from over the weekend.
As reported Monday, 23-year old Miles Hendrick of Morganfield was shot to death and two other people were assaulted at 727 Ranch Hill Drive Sunday morning around 3:13.
Police now say the crimes were part of a home invasion robbery, with the three suspects described by the victims as young black males in their late teens or early twenties, wearing hooded type sweatshirts and bandanas. One of the suspects had dreadlocks in his hair.
They entered the home and bound the residents at gunpoint and demanded drugs and money. They were armed with a handgun and a tire iron and one of the men referred to the other as “Dee.” Several of the victims were able to free themselves, which resulted in a struggle. The suspects sustained injuries to the head, face and back during the skirmish.
Sgt. Chuck Gill says police believe it was not a random crime and that an unidentified female may have led the suspects to the residence. Anyone with information should contact Clarksville Police at 931-648-TIPS.
