A Fort Campbell soldier has been reported missing.
According to Fort Campbell Criminal Investigation Detachment authorities, Specialist Brandon Bertolo came under investigation this past week on an unrelated incident.
Post officials say Bertolo, who is assigned to the 2nd Brigade Combat Team was released back to his brigade on Friday, July 12th and was ordered to report to morning formation on Monday, July 15th, but failed to do so.
Post officials say the soldier is not considered missing, but classified as absent without leave.
The Uniform Code of Military Justice defines AWOL status as a soldier who is absent from his duty station without permission from his command for at least 72 hours.
Bertolo remains under investigation on an unrelated incident.
