Kentucky State Police continue to follow up on all leads concerning a bank robbery that took place this morning in Calloway County.
State Police say around 9:17 a.m. a unknown black male armed with a hand gun entered the BB&T Bank in Hazel and demanded money from a teller.
Police say the teller complied and handed over an undisclosed amount of money with the suspect fleeing on foot.
The suspect is described as a black male, who is about 6 feet tall with a slim build and was wearing light colored pants, a long sleeves red plaid shirt, a ball cap and some type of clothing covering his face and head.
Police say the suspect is considered to be armed and dangerous.
KSP is leading the investigation and is being assisted by the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office, Tennessee Highway Patrol and Henry County Sheriff’s Office.
