A Cadiz man was arrested Sunday after allegedly assaulting the mother of his child twice and attempting to do so a third time.
Cadiz Police responded to the Shelby Street residence of the victim just after midnight and learned 22-year old Tyler Francis of Cunningham Avenue had allegedly attacked the woman in a domestic dispute. Francis had fled the scene before police arrived and the victim went and stayed with a friend until about 8 a.m.
When she returned home she found Francis allegedly hiding in the home and she was attacked again. He was gone when police arrived, but he allegedly returned again around 9:30, yelling “police” as he tried to knock down a side door to get inside.
Cadiz Police and the Trigg County Sheriff's Department were able to arrest Francis the third time and charged him with assault, burglary, impersonating a police officer, criminal mischief and being drunk in public.
