A former Fort Campbell soldier is going to spend a year in jail.
Judge Mike Jones sentenced 29-year old Jamel Jamerson Monday for two counts of vehicular homicide and a DUI.
Thirty-two year old Morofu Aremu was a passenger in a car driven by Jamerson in 2009 in Clarksville. He was killed when the car slammed into a tree. Aremu was also a Fort Campbell soldier.
Jamerson will spend seven years on probation after his jail term.
