The Hopkinsville Lions Club 1st Annual "Scrappin for Sight" fundraiser will be held Friday, March 9th and Saturday, March 10th from 8am to 6pm. Vendors, massage therapist, prizes given hourly, yard sale, make-n-takes, dinner, breakfast and lunch are included in the cost. Space is limited and payment in full is required upon registration. Registration is $35. Register by Tuesday, March 6th and receive a $5 discount. To register, contact Shirley Moore at 886-8381 or Susan Miller at 886-8768. All proceeds will be used to benefit The Lions Club vision charities. |

The Coal Miner's Respiratory Clinic will be hosting a small Health & Information Fair on March 19th, at 9am. No appointment is necessary. Our focus is coal miners - active or retired - but we will be happy to screen and assist anyone with a respiratory concern. Federal Black Lung representatives will also be present to assist those interest in claims. |

Is an all-night party following graduation for seniors from all 4 local high schools - Christian County High School, Heritage Christian Academy, Hopkinsville High School and University Heights Academy. The party provides a fun night for the graduates to have a last big party together as a class in a safe secure, alcohol-free and drug-free environment. It is chaperoned by parents and is held at the James Bruce Convention Center. The event requires significant planning, as well as fundraising, including the infamous "Cow Pasture Bingo"! In order for a parent to attend Project Graduation...you must attend at least 2 meetings. Meeting dates will be February 27th, March 12th, April 2nd, April 23rd, May 8th, and May 14th. The Christian COunty Library & Literacy Council challenges you or your business to participate in our first ever Ready Reader Road Rally on Saturday, March 3rd. Its part scavenger hunt, part Amazing Race, but all fun to raise funds for the Ready-to-Read projects. To register you can pick up a brochure at the Chamber office, public library, or YMCA.
